Description

Servier is an international pharmaceutical company governed by a non-profit Foundation and headquartered in France. With a strong international presence in 149 countries and a turnover of 4.2 billion euros in 2018, we employ over 22,000 people worldwide and more than 2,000 in R&D, in Paris area.

Being completely independent, we reinvest 25% of turnover (excluding generics) in Research and Development and use all our profits in growth. We are specialized and driven by our constant search for innovation in three major areas: cancer, immuno-inflammatory disease and neuropsychiatry, as well as by our activities in high-quality generic drugs. Servier also offers e-health solutions that go beyond drug development.

Autoimmune diseases are a significant source of worldwide chronic illnesses, disabilities, and deaths. The understanding of underlying deregulated biological processes is key for the identification of personalized treatments and is the major goal of this project.

We are looking for a bright and highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with computational and molecular biology expertise to join our teams for deciphering deregulated mechanisms in autoimmune diseases.

As part of Servier’s program on immune-inflammatory diseases, we are interested in better understanding the pathophysiology of a limited number of autoimmune disorders. To this aim, we are exploiting data from the literature and constituting databases of omics data from samples of patients affected by auto-immune diseases. This project is key to increase our understanding of the deregulated pathophysiological mechanisms and will help our programs to translate these analyses into new therapeutic strategies and targeted population approaches. The successful candidate will be involved in the collection and analysis of omics data from tissue and/or blood samples from cohorts of auto-immune diseases patients. He/she will participate in the design of omics experiments (including NGS) and will be responsible of all downstream bioinformatics analyses. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in the identification and exploitation of data from the literature using 2 strategies: 1) automatic extraction of information from relevant full text publications and 2) collection of associated omics datasets for the auto-immune disease under study.

Desired Profile

  • Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams with strong collaborative skills
  • Previous Experience in NGS data analysis (RNASeq or single cell RNASeq)
  • Previous experience in immune-related diseases is a plus
  • Good level of scientific english (oral, written)
