Description
The PhD position is entirely funded through the EDENE ANR project coordinated by Robin Pouteau (IRD, UMR AMAP):

The PhD student will work on biotic interactions between alien plant species and threatened tree species endemic to the Mascarene islands (in the Indian ocean). A full description of the PhD offer is available on the website of the AMAP joint research unit.
The research will include both field inventories and statistical analysis using community models (joint species distribution models).
The PhD student will be based on the Reunion Island and will work in collaboration with Robin Pouteau (IRD, AMAP lab, main supervisor), Raphaël Pélissier (IRD, AMAP lab, HDR), Mark van Kleunen (Ecology lab at
University of Konstanz) and Ghislain Vieilledent (CIRAD, AMAP lab).
