Description

Are you excited about finding out how new proteins emerge and evolve? So are we! Come join us in beautiful Lund!

The Kamerlin and Skep labs at Lund University have recently been awarded funding for a two-year postdoc position to study the evolution of phosphate binding proteins on mineral surfaces, and to use computational approaches to design small peptide surface adsorbed catalysts.

Our ideal candidate will have a PhD in computational chemistry, computational biophysics or a related area, awarded within the past three years (or be close to finishing their PhD), and be excited about protein evolution. Further, the ideal candidate for this project will have experience in one or more of molecular simulations of peptides, enhanced sampling approaches, protein structure
prediction, machine learning, and/or protein design.

Is that you?

If you are interested in working with us, please send:

– A cover letter outlining your interest in this area and why you
would be a great fit for our project
– Your CV and publications list
– Contact details of three referees

To Lynn Kamerlin (see application email above).

More information about the Kamerlin and Skep labs can be found at the following links:

Please note that the selected candidate will need to be approved by the foundation.

Applications will be considered until the position is filled, with applications
accepted until 31st December 2024.

Start date: Any time after 1st January 2025, upon mutual agreement.
