modelling spatial single cell omic

Description

Job description

The CRCL new Computational Biology department develops innovative systems biology services for the analysis of biological bigdata and modelling biological processes. It helps and supports research teams in their R&D, from the very early stages right through to clinical trials, by proposing optimal solutions and the rational design of new experiments based on simulations.

Mission

As a bioinformatics and modelling trainee, you will be working on simulation models that reproduce intra- and inter-cellular regulatory processes. Supported by experimental data, in particular spatial transcriptomic data, you will have to analyse these data, define a model, infer its parameters and propose a visualisation of the simulations. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with the CRCL's research and bioinformatics teams.

Job description (activities) :

The trainee recruited will be responsible for :

1- Analysing OMIC data, in particular spatial transcriptomic data

2- Modelling intra/inter cellular regulatory processes

3- Infer models from experimental data

4- Exploring models: sensitivity analysis.

Profile required

We are looking for someone with a degree in engineering or a Masters with a strong bioinformatics and modelling component. Curiosity and a taste for transdisciplinarity will be highly appreciated.

Skills required

Good level in Mathematics

Systems skills (Unix)

Good knowledge of Python

Good knowledge of bioinformatics

Good knowledge of modelling

Fluency in scientific English, both written and read
